Therapy consultation (50-55 minutes): $250
A referral is not required to book an appointment. If you have a Medicare Mental Healthcare Plan referral or Private Health, you may be entitled to a rebate.
The fee of $250 was set in order to provide high-quality, accessible care at a fair and competitive rate. Administrative and authoring bodies for Psychologists including the Australian Psychology Society (APS, and the Australian Association of Psychologists (AAPi) currently recommend sessions fees of up to $360 for a 50+ minute session. I set my fees below this guideline.
Fees are also reviewed every financial year.

Current Rebate amount: $101.55
Under a Mental Healthcare/Treatment Plan (MHCP or MHTP), you are eligible for 10 rebated psychology sessions per calendar year. This count always resets on January 1st.
You can obtain a MHCP from your GP if you do not have one. Please ask your GP to forward a copy to Nathaniel Wells via fax or medical objects.
In order to process your rebate, you must have a valid mental healthcare plan that was acquired at a date before your psychology session. We must also receive a copy of your plan in order to process rebates.

Some private health funds offer rebates for psychological therapy, depending on your level of cover. Please refer to your policy or contact your private healthcare company for more. Example private healthcare companies include NIB, HIF, HBF, Bupa, Medibank, etc.

Current NDIS fee: $252.99 per appointment (60 mins)
I provide psychological services for self-managed and plan-managed NDIS clients.
My services are billed according to the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits. A full quote and agreement will be completed with you following first consultation, if attending via NDIS, through a service agreement.

I also see clients under funding from DVA. In order to attend you will need to receive a DVA plan from your doctor. There is no out of pocket cost associated with a DVA session, though I must receive a copy of your plan prior to your session.

I am also a registered provider with Workcover Queensland. If your claim is approved, Workcover may cover the cost of psychological sessions.
If you are planning on attending via Workcover funding, I require that you reach out via email to provide your claim number and approval details before your first appointment. Otherwise, you will be charged the full fee for your initial appointment.
